“Don’s photography inspires a quality of clarity and peace that often might elude us in our day-to-day lives. His photos of the His Holiness the Dalai Lama bring me right back to the sense I get in the Dalai Lama’s presence – a door swinging open on the possibility of boundless compassion, spacious perspective, and connection to all of life. Don’s extraordinary gift, and his close relationship to the Dalai Lama, makes these photographs outstanding.”

“Don Farber has given us a great gift, using his consummate artistry to open a window upon the intimate presence of His Holiness at home, out in the world helping people, contemplating the ocean of life with his unaverted gaze of love and compassion. It is thus a distinct privilege and pleasure to spend time with Don's book, feeling so close to "The Presence" of the Dalai Lama in a leisurely and peaceful fashion. With deepest thanks to Don Farber, I enthusiastically recommend the uplifting experience of this book to one and all.”
