Goals for 2015

  1. -Travel to Tibet this summer to photograph and film Tibetan Buddhist life, especially the last living Buddhist masters and yogis who received their training before the Chinese takeover of Tibet.

  2. -Continue photographing and making video interviews with Tibetan Buddhist masters in India, Nepal, and the West.

  3. -Transcribe, translate, and subtitle video interviews with Tibetan Buddhist masters made since 2003.

  4. -Complete the documentary film by Don Farber and Carole Wilson about the late Japanese Zen master, Joshu Sasaki Roshi, who died last July at the age of 107. After filming during the last four years of his life, the film is now in the post production phase.

  5. -Continue photographing world Buddhist life.

  6. -Find museum or gallery in Los Angeles and Washington, DC to show an exhibition of Don Farber’s photography of the Dalai Lama to coincide with his 80th birthday this coming July.

  7. -Plan a retrospective exhibition of Don Farber’s photography of Buddhist life.  Funding for the exhibition has been committed by the Japanese Buddhist organization, Risho Kosei Kai.
